Cannes bunker prices
FRCEQ · FR · Emission Control Area · EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime apply
Arithmetic on the 6 nearest ports where a price was observed, weighted by distance. Nobody has quoted this at Cannes, and it carries nothing about the barge, the volume or your credit — which is what actually sets the number.
Why there is no assessment here yet
Only 0 observations in the last 72 hours. We publish an assessment from 3 or more.
No price is published for this port yet. Our assessment is built only from what we observe here — prices suppliers submit to us, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that close — so it appears once this port has traffic. A request raised now still reaches suppliers; it does not wait for an index.
Our own assessment, computed from observations made on this platform: prices submitted by suppliers, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that closed. Weighted by how firm each observation is (a closed stem counts three times a list price), by how recent it is, and by parcel size. Values more than 15% from the median are excluded. No third-party assessment is used as an input, and no number is published from fewer than three observations or fewer than two independent sources.

Taking fuel at Cannes
Operational notes, from the port authority and the suppliers’ own published documents. Checked 2026-08-31.
Cannes' Vieux-Port is a superyacht marina, so fuel comes off a fuel dock, not a bunker barge. IGY, the operator, lists an on-site fuelling station and takes vessels up to 140 m LOA at a maximum draught of 5 m, across 645 berths of which 55 are reserved for yachts over 24 m (beam unrestricted). Berthing is by advance reservation and is not guaranteed without one; captains must check in and out with the port office each stay.
The marina works on VHF Channel 12, with the port office open 08:00-18:00 seven days a week, and IGY publishes environmental controls at its boatyard - a hazardous-waste Clean Point plus washing-water and anti-hydrocarbon measures. In practice this is a distillate operation for yachts at the fuel point rather than a heavy-fuel port, so treat it as a top-up rather than a stemming call and confirm grades and any quantity limit directly with the fuelling station.
- IGY does not publish the fuelling station's maximum vessel size, the fuel grades offered, or its fuelling hours.
- It does not state how yachts too large for the fuel dock take fuel (for example by road tanker).
- No maximum stem or quantity is published.
- The marina pages do not address ECA / EU low-sulphur compliance for fuel lifted at the port.
Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.
The working behind the estimate above.
Those are prices at those ports, not at Cannes, and the distances are great-circle rather than routed. The estimate above is arithmetic on them — it carries no information about the barge, the volume or your credit, which is what actually sets the number. A request is the only way to get a real one.
Indicative only. Typical stem time here is about 8 hours alongside.

Not an offer to sell — a firm price exists only once a supplier has quoted.
A lower headline price at another port is not automatically a saving. Deviation burns fuel and charter hire, and a bunker-only call costs port time.
Cannes bunkering FAQ
- What is the bunker price at Cannes today?
- No price is published at Cannes. The closest port where one is, is Livorno, about 144 nautical miles away — VLSFO at $549 a tonne.
- Is Cannes a cheap bunkering port?
- Whether a port is cheap for your vessel depends on the deviation cost, not just the headline price — reaching a cheaper port costs charter hire and fuel.
- Does EU ETS apply at Cannes?
- Cannes is in the EU/EEA, so voyages to, from and within it fall under the EU Emissions Trading System, and FuelEU Maritime applies to ships of 5,000 GT and above. That adds a real per-tonne cost that a headline bunker price does not show.
