Imperia bunker prices

Estimated · VLSFO · not observed at Imperia
$527–$571/MT

Arithmetic on the 6 nearest ports where a price was observed, weighted by distance. Nobody has quoted this at Imperia, and it carries nothing about the barge, the volume or your credit — which is what actually sets the number.

Why there is no assessment here yet

Only 0 observations in the last 72 hours. We publish an assessment from 3 or more.

No price is published for this port yet. Our assessment is built only from what we observe here — prices suppliers submit to us, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that close — so it appears once this port has traffic. A request raised now still reaches suppliers; it does not wait for an index.

Our own assessment, computed from observations made on this platform: prices submitted by suppliers, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that closed. Weighted by how firm each observation is (a closed stem counts three times a list price), by how recent it is, and by parcel size. Values more than 15% from the median are excluded. No third-party assessment is used as an input, and no number is published from fewer than three observations or fewer than two independent sources.

Taking fuel at Imperia

Operational notes, from the port authority and the suppliers’ own published documents. Checked 2026-09-02.

At Imperia (Oneglia), bunkering is available at the main commercial dock where Rivamare operates a shore fuel station fitted with a high-flow distributor delivering 400 litres per minute; the position is easily accessible to all vessel types, including yachts over 100 m and sailboats with draft up to 7 m. Supply via tank-truck (autobotti) bunkering is also offered at the station. Products include subsidized commercial gasoil and national BIO-FREE diesel with low sulphur and flash point, plus national gasoline, lubricating oils (Shell, Eni, Total, Mobil and others) and additives, supplied in compliance with MARPOL Annex VI anti-pollution regulations. A second supplier, De Vivo Energia S.R.L., has been awarded a 14-year concession by the City of Imperia for a fuel-distribution plant at the Western Mole (Molo Occidentale) of Oneglia, but this facility is still subject to the state-property concession conference and project approvals, so it is not yet operational. The port lies in the Mediterranean sulphur ECA, so 0.50% sulphur fuel applies, and EU ETS extends to voyages to/from this port. Nomination/notice periods for ordering bunkers here could not be verified from public sources.

Not published anywhere we could find
  • notice/nomination period required
  • barging at anchorage availability
  • night delivery allowed?
  • weather/tidal operating limits
  • port-authority bunkering regulations
  • De Vivo facility operational date

Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.

VLSFO observed at the 6 nearest priced ports

The working behind the estimate above.

Those are prices at those ports, not at Imperia, and the distances are great-circle rather than routed. The estimate above is arithmetic on them — it carries no information about the barge, the volume or your credit, which is what actually sets the number. A request is the only way to get a real one.

Indicative only. Typical stem time here is about 8 hours alongside.

Not an offer to sell — a firm price exists only once a supplier has quoted.

A lower headline price at another port is not automatically a saving. Deviation burns fuel and charter hire, and a bunker-only call costs port time.

Imperia bunkering FAQ

What is the bunker price at Imperia today?
No price is published at Imperia. The closest port where one is, is Livorno, about 100 nautical miles away — VLSFO at $549 a tonne.
Is Imperia a cheap bunkering port?
Whether a port is cheap for your vessel depends on the deviation cost, not just the headline price — reaching a cheaper port costs charter hire and fuel.
Does EU ETS apply at Imperia?
Imperia is in the EU/EEA, so voyages to, from and within it fall under the EU Emissions Trading System, and FuelEU Maritime applies to ships of 5,000 GT and above. That adds a real per-tonne cost that a headline bunker price does not show.
