BUNKERFUELPRICES

Olbia bunker prices

Estimated · VLSFO · not observed at Olbia
$681–$814/MT

Arithmetic on the 6 nearest ports where a price was observed, weighted by distance. Nobody has quoted this at Olbia, and it carries nothing about the barge, the volume or your credit — which is what actually sets the number.

Why there is no assessment here yet

Only 0 observations in the last 72 hours. We publish an assessment from 3 or more.

No price is published for this port yet. Our assessment is built only from what we observe here — prices suppliers submit to us, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that close — so it appears once this port has traffic. A request raised now still reaches suppliers; it does not wait for an index.

Our own assessment, computed from observations made on this platform: prices submitted by suppliers, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that closed. Weighted by how firm each observation is (a closed stem counts three times a list price), by how recent it is, and by parcel size. Values more than 15% from the median are excluded. No third-party assessment is used as an input, and no number is published from fewer than three observations or fewer than two independent sources.

Taking fuel at Olbia

Operational notes, from the port authority and the suppliers’ own published documents. Checked 2026-08-31.

Olbia's main yacht bunkering point is the fuel berth at Marina di Olbia (MOYS), which the marina calls the largest marine fuel berth on the northern coast of Sardinia: a dedicated dock of roughly 200 metres that can take up to seven boats at once and vessels up to 150 metres LOA. Draught is the limiting factor to watch, as the marina works to a maximum draught of about 5.20 metres, so deep-draught vessels should confirm the water alongside the fuel dock before committing.

Fuelling here is taken at the dock, so a large stem depends on the dock being free and on the supplier's tanker schedule; give notice for anything sizeable. Because Olbia sits inside the Mediterranean ECA and under EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime, have the documentation ready for the grade you lift, and settle exact timing and any road-tanker arrangement with the supplier in advance.

Not published anywhere we could find
  • MOYS does not publish a maximum stem size or a pumping rate for the fuel berth.
  • The fuel grades available at the dock (MGO only, or others) are not published.
  • Draught is published only marina-wide (about 5.20 m); the depth alongside the fuel dock specifically is not stated.
  • Whether the Isola Bianca commercial terminal takes ship bunkers by barge was not confirmable on an operator source.

Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.

VLSFO observed at the 6 nearest priced ports

The working behind the estimate above.

Those are prices at those ports, not at Olbia, and the distances are great-circle rather than routed. The estimate above is arithmetic on them — it carries no information about the barge, the volume or your credit, which is what actually sets the number. A request is the only way to get a real one.

Indicative only. Typical stem time here is about 4 hours alongside.

Indicative, delivered basis. Source: a licensed feed. Not an offer to sell — a firm price exists only once a supplier has quoted.

A lower headline price at another port is not automatically a saving. Deviation burns fuel and charter hire, and a bunker-only call costs port time.

Olbia bunkering FAQ

What is the bunker price at Olbia today?
No price is published at Olbia. The closest port where one is, is Piraeus, about 680 nautical miles away — VLSFO at $818 a tonne.
Is Olbia a cheap bunkering port?
Whether a port is cheap for your vessel depends on the deviation cost, not just the headline price — reaching a cheaper port costs charter hire and fuel.
Does EU ETS apply at Olbia?
Olbia is in the EU/EEA, so voyages to, from and within it fall under the EU Emissions Trading System, and FuelEU Maritime applies to ships of 5,000 GT and above. That adds a real per-tonne cost that a headline bunker price does not show.
