Gdansk bunker prices

Arithmetic on the 6 nearest ports where a price was observed, weighted by distance. Nobody has quoted this at Gdansk, and it carries nothing about the barge, the volume or your credit — which is what actually sets the number.
Why there is no assessment here yet
Only 0 observations in the last 72 hours. We publish an assessment from 3 or more.
No price is published for this port yet. Our assessment is built only from what we observe here — prices suppliers submit to us, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that close — so it appears once this port has traffic. A request raised now still reaches suppliers; it does not wait for an index.
Our own assessment, computed from observations made on this platform: prices submitted by suppliers, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that closed. Weighted by how firm each observation is (a closed stem counts three times a list price), by how recent it is, and by parcel size. Values more than 15% from the median are excluded. No third-party assessment is used as an input, and no number is published from fewer than three observations or fewer than two independent sources.
Taking fuel at Gdansk

What shapes a Gdansk stem is in the Gdynia Maritime Office's port regulations, Zarzadzenie nr 9 of 16 July 2018 consolidated December 2025. Bunkering is to be carried out inside the port, at a place accepted by the harbourmaster's office. Supply at the roadstead is not a right but a concession granted case by case: the harbourmaster may consent on the shipowner's application, fixes the conditions each time, and every cost arising from roadstead bunkering falls on the party who asked for it. At Gdansk specifically, fuelling a vessel at the roadstead without that consent, obtained each time, is prohibited outright. Two further provisions matter when a barge is coming to you. At Gdansk, mooring vessels or floating port plant side by side requires the harbourmaster's consent, so the barge's berthing alongside you is itself a permission. Bunker vessels must be able to deploy an oil boom immediately, but the general requirement to surround a ship with a boom before bulk oil transfer expressly does not apply to bunkering, so do not assume you will be boomed. Road-tanker supply is allowed at a berth in a place the terminal user designates, properly prepared and secured and accepted by the harbourmaster's office, which makes truck deliveries turn on the terminal's agreement as much as the port's. The start and finish of both roadstead and truck operations must be reported to the harbourmaster's office. For LNG, the port authority documents a single station, truck-to-ship at the Obroncow Westerplatte quay, served by five licensed operators; no ship-to-ship LNG capability is published here. No maximum stem or notice period is published.
- No maximum stem size or standard notice period published in the port regulations or by the port authority
- The regulations do not name which berths are approved for road-tanker supply

- Conventional bunker grades (VLSFO/HSFO/MGO) available at Gdansk are not published by the port authority;…
- Whether bunkering may run simultaneously with cargo operations is not addressed in the port regulations
- No named conventional bunker barge operator or barge capacity published by the port authority; Orlen's…
Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.

14 of these are on the port authority's register of licensed suppliers. The rest publish their own coverage of this port.

The working behind the estimate above.
Those are prices at those ports, not at Gdansk, and the distances are great-circle rather than routed. The estimate above is arithmetic on them — it carries no information about the barge, the volume or your credit, which is what actually sets the number. A request is the only way to get a real one.
Indicative only. Typical stem time here is about 8 hours alongside.

Indicative, delivered basis. Source: a licensed feed. Not an offer to sell — a firm price exists only once a supplier has quoted.
A lower headline price at another port is not automatically a saving. Deviation burns fuel and charter hire, and a bunker-only call costs port time.
Gdansk bunkering FAQ
- What is the bunker price at Gdansk today?
- No price is published at Gdansk. The closest port where one is, is Rotterdam, about 541 nautical miles away — VLSFO at $663 a tonne.
- Is Gdansk a cheap bunkering port?
- Whether a port is cheap for your vessel depends on the deviation cost, not just the headline price — reaching a cheaper port costs charter hire and fuel.
- Does EU ETS apply at Gdansk?
- Gdansk is in the EU/EEA, so voyages to, from and within it fall under the EU Emissions Trading System, and FuelEU Maritime applies to ships of 5,000 GT and above. That adds a real per-tonne cost that a headline bunker price does not show.
