Riga bunker prices

The Freeport of Riga Regulations treat the bunker barge as the normal delivery unit: harbour craft are defined to include a bunkering vessel, and bunkering tankers over 150 GT must carry Class A AIS. Fuel can be taken alongside or at the outer roads anchorage, but anchorage work is not a matter of simply calling the supplier. Supply operations at anchorage require the Harbour Master's approval on the Annex 5 application before anything starts; the form names both ships and the working window, and the supply vessel's master must certify that he has read the meteorological forecast and will work only in safe conditions. Once approved, he reports commencement, suspension and completion to the Vessel Traffic Service Centre on VHF 9. Alongside, the constraint to plan around is clause 189: gas, chemical and oil product tankers must bunker before or after cargo work, never during it, so for those ships fuel costs berth time; the regulations impose no such bar on other vessel types. Before pumping, a bunkering safety check-list must be completed and signed by both sides, the bunker vessel must have booms and oil recovery gear available under its accident response plan, and the receiving ship hoists flag Bravo, showing a red light after dark. In the ice season the port runs its own regime: 24 hours' notice to the Harbour Master and the icebreaker master before the Irbe lighthouse meridian, reconfirmed at six hours, and six hours' notice of departure from a berth. The regulations set no maximum stem and say nothing about road tanker delivery.
