Cartagena is Colombia's busiest Caribbean bunkering port, and fuel is delivered both by barge and by truck; grades run to MGO, VLSFO and HSFO, with LNG also listed (Clipper Oil). Because barges work the bay, you can generally stem at anchor or alongside rather than only at a dedicated fuel berth. If you are on a tanker, mind the berth limits: a port guide puts Cartagena's tanker berths at 180 m LOA and 9.2 m draft, well under the 15.7 m draft that container and bulk ships work to (findaport), so a tanker's stem is bounded by where it can lie, not by barge capacity. Everything above is supplier and port-guide data rather than a port-authority rule, so confirm anchorage assignment, pilotage and any Bocachica entrance-channel draft limit with your agent before you fix.
- DIMAR and port navigation rules - Bocachica entrance-channel depth and the pilotage tonnage threshold - could not be confirmed; the port authority pages I tried returned a CAPTCHA or 404.
