Bunkering at Willemstad is Curoil's operation and is mostly ex-pipe at fixed berths: eight of the ten jetties at the Isla refinery in Emmastad, five of the six berths at Bullen Bay, the Otrobanda wharves inside St Anna Bay (seven berths in all) and the Mega Pier cruise terminal. Marine gasoil is also delivered by barge in the Schottegat, using a small 64 m barge, and Curoil runs its own barges for offshore work on open waters.
Published ex-pipe rates at the Motet Wharf are 350 to 400 metric tons per hour for fuel oil and 200 to 400 t/h for diesel, so a large fuel-oil stem is a matter of hours rather than a day. Grades on offer are marine fuel oil, IFO, marine gasoil and marine diesel, plus lubricants in regular and low-vanadium grades. Heavy or unusual work is coordinated with the Harbour Master and port security.
