Caucedo is the DP World container terminal southeast of Santo Domingo, and findaport lists fuel as available, but the port does not publish whether bunkers arrive by barge or by road tanker, so treat the delivery method as a question for your supplier. Pilotage is compulsory for every vessel entering or leaving and is available around the clock, with the boarding ground about 1.7 nautical miles southeast of the harbour entrance at 18 degrees 24.6 minutes N, 069 degrees 36.3 minutes W; navigation is available 24 hours. Maximum draft is 13.5 m, though findaport gives a recommended arrival draft of 12.5 m, so a deep ship should plan around the lower figure. The nearest anchorage is off Santo Domingo rather than at Caucedo itself, so if you intend to bunker at anchor instead of alongside the container berth, settle in advance where the barge will meet you and whether the terminal will allow a fuel operation concurrent with cargo.
