Skagen (the Skaw) sits at the northern tip of Jutland where a great volume of traffic rounds the point, and a bunker stem can be taken both alongside and out on Skaw roads. Delivery is by ex-pipe at the quay, by bunker boat, and by road tanker. Bunker One supplies MGO and HFO grades either by bunkering boats or through two ex-pipe connections along the quay; Malik Energy supplies in port and on Skaw roads; FF Handel runs tankers and quay dispensers mainly for the trawler fleet.
Monjasa's Skagen terminal holds eight tanks totalling 42,500 m3 and pumps at up to 800 m3/hr, and quotes an 11 m draft and 330 m LOA, able to handle vessels up to 250,000 dwt. Skagen is inside the North Sea/Baltic Emission Control Area, so marine fuel here is the low-sulphur specification; EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime apply to the voyage.
- No source publishes a maximum stem size; the 42,500 m3 storage and 800 m3/hr rate are Monjasa terminal figures, not a per-stem cap.
- Whether HSFO is genuinely still lifted here is unclear — Bunker One lists HFO and Dan-Bunkering lists HSFO, so confirm with the supplier.
- The 11 m draft and 330 m LOA are the Monjasa terminal's figures; no separate draft limit is published for the ex-pipe quay connections or for bunkering on Skaw roads.
Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.
