At Copenhagen a bunker supply — which Danish regulators define as a transfer of marine fuel to a ship from a facility that can be a bunker barge, a road truck or a fixed pipe installation — reaches the vessel by any of those three routes. Two Danish controls then shape every stem. Barges used for offshore deliveries must undergo an annual vetting and be approved by the Danish Maritime Authority, so an unapproved barge cannot lawfully supply you; ask the supplier to confirm the barge is on that list. And the Admiral Danish Fleet (VFK) is notified of every bunkering in Danish territorial waters — the ships' names, IMO numbers, the place and timing, and on completion the quantity transferred — with the state keeping a database of all deliveries. Copenhagen also lies inside the Baltic SOx Emission Control Area, so the fuel must be 0.10% sulphur or less (what the Danes term low-sulphur) unless the ship runs an approved scrubber.
