Mykonos bunker prices

$792–$858/MT

Arithmetic on the 6 nearest ports where a price was observed, weighted by distance. Nobody has quoted this at Mykonos, and it carries nothing about the barge, the volume or your credit — which is what actually sets the number.

Why there is no assessment here yet

Only 0 observations in the last 72 hours. We publish an assessment from 3 or more.

No price is published for this port yet. Our assessment is built only from what we observe here — prices suppliers submit to us, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that close — so it appears once this port has traffic. A request raised now still reaches suppliers; it does not wait for an index.

Our own assessment, computed from observations made on this platform: prices submitted by suppliers, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that closed. Weighted by how firm each observation is (a closed stem counts three times a list price), by how recent it is, and by parcel size. Values more than 15% from the median are excluded. No third-party assessment is used as an input, and no number is published from fewer than three observations or fewer than two independent sources.

Taking fuel at Mykonos

Operational notes, from the port authority and the suppliers’ own published documents. Checked 2026-08-31.

The Municipal Port Fund of Mykonos runs the island's yacht berthing and splits it by size: the New Port at Tourlos, about 3.5 km north of town, takes vessels under 25 m LOA, while motor yachts over 25 m go to the old port at Chora. Refuelling at either is not automatic - the port fund requires telephone approval before a bunkering operation, and at the old port fuelling is permitted only when it does not obstruct the cruise-ship tenders working there. Yacht movements at the New Port are also barred between 09:30 and 10:30 for scheduled ferry traffic unless the harbour clears you by VHF, and arrivals are accepted only between noon and sunset.

The fuel itself comes from private suppliers; Mediterranean Fuels, for one, lists supply points at the New Port docks and the old-port tender dock and offers MGO, VLSFO and HSFO. Since 1 May 2025 the whole Mediterranean is a SOx ECA, so fuel used must not exceed 0.10% sulphur.

Not published anywhere we could find
  • The Municipal Port Fund publishes no water depths or berth lengths for the New Port or the old port in the guidance read.
  • It states no maximum stem size and does not say whether fuel is delivered by road tanker or by barge.
  • Mediterranean Fuels lists supply points but no delivery rate, minimum quantity or duty-free eligibility.
  • Whether a vessel anchored in the bay, rather than berthed, may bunker is not addressed.

Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.

VLSFO observed at the 6 nearest priced ports

The working behind the estimate above.

Those are prices at those ports, not at Mykonos, and the distances are great-circle rather than routed. The estimate above is arithmetic on them — it carries no information about the barge, the volume or your credit, which is what actually sets the number. A request is the only way to get a real one.

Indicative only. Typical stem time here is about 8 hours alongside.

Not an offer to sell — a firm price exists only once a supplier has quoted.

A lower headline price at another port is not automatically a saving. Deviation burns fuel and charter hire, and a bunker-only call costs port time.

Mykonos bunkering FAQ

What is the bunker price at Mykonos today?
No price is published at Mykonos. The closest port where one is, is Piraeus, about 85 nautical miles away — VLSFO at $818 a tonne.
Is Mykonos a cheap bunkering port?
Whether a port is cheap for your vessel depends on the deviation cost, not just the headline price — reaching a cheaper port costs charter hire and fuel.
Does EU ETS apply at Mykonos?
Mykonos is in the EU/EEA, so voyages to, from and within it fall under the EU Emissions Trading System, and FuelEU Maritime applies to ships of 5,000 GT and above. That adds a real per-tonne cost that a headline bunker price does not show.
