At Bergen bunkers come off the water. Bergen Tankers, the main local physical supplier, runs two bunker barges - Bergen Tank and Oslo Tank - out of Bergen and other safe ports along the Norwegian west coast, delivering MGO and LNG; its own ships run on MGO or LNG (Bergen Tankers). For gas, Oslo Tank was rebuilt in 2019 into an 850 m3 LNG barge, and Norway's first LNG bunkering vessel, Bergen LNG, works the Bergen area under Gasnor (Shell), fuelling the Hurtigruten and Kystruten coastal ships (Maritime Executive). Bergen lies inside the North Sea Emission Control Area and under EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime, so a call here carries emissions accounting as well as ECA fuel rules - factor both into the voyage. A port guide lists Bergen taking ships to roughly 12.2 m depth, 12.0 m for tankers, with all fuel grades available (findaport).
