Prezzi bunker a Port Louis

Port Louis offers all three delivery routes, and the Mauritius Ports Authority's bunkering code sets out where each one works. Barges serve both the Inner Port quays and vessels at anchor in the Outer Port's northern and southern regions; no bunkering at all is permitted in the Entrance Channel or the English Channel. Shore pipelines reach only named berths, one operator at Quays 1 to 4 and the Oil Jetty, another at Quays A, D and E plus 1 to 4, a third at Quays A, D and E, so pipeline supply is berth-specific rather than general. Road bowsers cover vessels alongside that the pipelines do not reach.

Six barges are in service with cargo tanks between 741 and 21,316 cubic metres, which is the practical envelope; the Authority publishes no maximum stem. Manoeuvring requirements scale with barge size: twin screw from 250 to 500 GT, twin screw or single screw with bow thruster to 1,500 GT, twin screw with bow thrusters above that. The grades are VLSFO, HSFO and LSMGO.

Bunkering during cargo work is allowed, but only after a joint risk assessment by both masters and the cargo terminal operator, kept available for the Port Master. Operations stop above Beaufort force 6, two-metre swell or 27 knots of wind. Night supply is permitted subject to extra moorings and three-hourly reports to Harbour Radio between sunset and sunrise. Approvals run through the MACCS e-bunkering platform before anything starts, with final clearance from Harbour Radio on VHF; the code sets no minimum nomination notice, so lead time is a commercial question, not a regulatory one.
