Mundra is Adani's private deep-water port in the Gulf of Kutch, and bunkering is one of the services the port formally lists among its permitted operations. The physical supplier's own description puts the emphasis on pipeline delivery at the jetty here, quoting a pumping rate up to 350 MT per hour through 12- and 16-inch lines, while its barge fleet is described as serving the other Gulf ports (Kandla, Sikka, Vadinar, Jamnagar) rather than Mundra. Grades are VLSFO (max 0.5%), HSFO (max 3.5%) and MGO (max 0.1%) to ISO 8217.
Plan around the water. The port's own booklet warns the tidal current runs 2 to 3 knots and the range is large, so moorings must be tended and vessels are to berth with positive trim and no more than one degree of list. Minimum under-keel clearance is 10% of maximum draft on berthing, and the port circulates a maximum acceptable draft for each berth monthly. Port Control works VHF channel 77.
- Neither the port booklet nor the supplier page publishes a maximum bunker stem size.
- The booklet permits bunkering but does not state whether bunkers may be taken at anchorage; it lists only 'store supply' as allowed at berth and anchorage.
- No minimum notice period for a bunker nomination is stated.
- The supplier page does not confirm barge-to-ship bunkering at Mundra itself, attributing barge supply to other Gujarat ports.
Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.
