Noumea is an alongside operation: the documented delivery methods are pipeline and road tanker at the wharf. One physical supplier lists the delivery points as the Grand Quai (Main Wharf), Quai FED, Quai des Scientifiques, Quai des Longs Courriers, the Gare Maritime (ferry and cruise terminal), the Quai de Peche at Nouville and the Ducos terminal, so where you berth largely decides how you are fuelled.
Size is the real constraint. A supplier's port note gives a maximum draught of 10.5 m for vessels working the harbour, so this is a port for handysize and smaller rather than deep-laden ships. Marine gasoil is the staple distillate, with ULSD also offered, and residual grades (VLSFO and HSFO) are listed as available too. Because delivery is truck- and pipe-fed, a large residual stem takes time, so line up quantity and berth with the supplier before arrival rather than assuming a fast pumping rate.

- Neither lists barge or anchorage delivery, so offshore bunkering appears unavailable but is not confirmed either way.
- No official port-authority source (Port Autonome de la Nouvelle-Caledonie) was found stating bunkering-specific rules or notice periods.
