St Georges bunker prices

GDSTG · GD

Estimated · VLSFO · not observed at St Georges

Arithmetic on the 6 nearest ports where a price was observed, weighted by distance. Nobody has quoted this at St Georges, and it carries nothing about the barge, the volume or your credit — which is what actually sets the number.

Why there is no assessment here yet

Only 0 observations in the last 72 hours. We publish an assessment from 3 or more.

No price is published for this port yet. Our assessment is built only from what we observe here — prices suppliers submit to us, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that close — so it appears once this port has traffic. A request raised now still reaches suppliers; it does not wait for an index.

Our own assessment, computed from observations made on this platform: prices submitted by suppliers, quotes received against requests raised here, and stems that closed. Weighted by how firm each observation is (a closed stem counts three times a list price), by how recent it is, and by parcel size. Values more than 15% from the median are excluded. No third-party assessment is used as an input, and no number is published from fewer than three observations or fewer than two independent sources.

Taking fuel at St Georges

Operational notes, from the port authority and the suppliers’ own published documents. Checked 2026-09-02.

Bunkers at St George's are delivered by road tanker (gasoil), with commercial suppliers such as Caribbean Fuels also offering Marine Gas Oil, VLSFO and ULSD ex truck/drums at Melville Street Cruise Terminal (North and South berths), the main Port of St George's berth, the Schooner Berth, and Port Louis (pipeline possible for larger stems there per supplier). Delivery is therefore at berth or at anchorage by truck; no barge bunkering is documented. Vessels may anchor NW of the harbour at 12°03.2'N 061°45.8'W (12.0–23.0 m) or in the Carenage (9.1–20.1 m); anchoring within 200 m of any beach requires written permission. Berthing applications must go through the ship's agent to the GPA Marine Unit at least 48 hours before arrival; pilotage is compulsory for vessels over 200 grt with 24 hours' notice inbound and 3 hours outbound, pilots boarding NE of Annas Shoal. Port equipment and labour must be requisitioned 24 hours in advance; working hours 07:00–12:00, 13:00–18:00, 19:00–23:00. Grenada is not in an ECA; IMO global 0.50% sulphur limit applies. Confirm current fuel pricing and availability with the supplier.

Ask the supplier to confirm these before you fix a stem on them.

VLSFO observed at the 6 nearest priced ports

The working behind the estimate above.

Those are prices at those ports, not at St Georges, and the distances are great-circle rather than routed. The estimate above is arithmetic on them — it carries no information about the barge, the volume or your credit, which is what actually sets the number. A request is the only way to get a real one.

Indicative only. Typical stem time here is about 8 hours alongside.

Not an offer to sell — a firm price exists only once a supplier has quoted.

A lower headline price at another port is not automatically a saving. Deviation burns fuel and charter hire, and a bunker-only call costs port time.
