Bunkers at Paradip are supplied primarily by IndianOil (IOCL), which lists Paradip for VLSFO (0.50% sulphur) and LSMGO (DMA-grade, 0.10% sulphur), with HSFO available for scrubber-fitted vessels. Delivery is by barge-to-ship at the outer anchorage or at berth (barge flow rates around 150–250 MT/hr), by direct shore pipeline for tankers calling at the refinery jetty (available round-the-clock), or limited truck-to-ship for small distillate stems. Standard nomination-to-delivery lead time is 5–7 days for refinery-sourced VLSFO/HSFO (7–10 days during peak traffic or refinery turnaround); LSMGO is often available sooner. Anchorage bunkering is generally conducted in daylight; night operations depend on sea state, pilot availability and port authority clearance. Paradip is not an ECA, so 0.50% sulphur VLSFO applies outside ECA rules; HSFO above 0.50% sulphur requires scrubbers and DG Shipping (Mumbai) approval submitted at least 48 hours before delivery. Barge delivery requires 72/48-hour approximate and 24-hour definite arrival notices to the supplier.
