Bunkering at Kamarajar Port (Ennore) is carried out within the port limits for vessels calling at berth or at anchorage. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) supplies 100% of bunker requirements, delivering by barge, shore pipeline (dedicated oil/LNG jetty), or tank truck; truck-to-ship is typically used for small LSMGO/HSD stems. Products include VLSFO (0.5% S, ISO 8217:2017 RMG380/180) and LSMGO/HFHSD (0.1% S, meeting ISO 8217 DMA and ECA norms). Buyers must send a Bunker Nomination (vessel, IMO number, grade, quantity, delivery method) and give 72/48-hour approximate and 24-hour definite arrival notices; supply is available day and night except Saturdays, Sundays, and public/port holidays, and is subject to weather and customs/port permissions. Ennore is not an ECA, so from 1 January 2020 fuel above 0.5% sulphur requires prior DGS (Mumbai) approval submitted at least 48 hours before delivery; scrubber-fitted vessels must lodge the Supplement to their IAPP Certificate. Buyers must obtain all statutory/port permits before the delivery date.
