At the Port of Santos, bunkers are supplied by Petrobras (UN-Bunker) via barge alongside the hull or by pipeline at the Alemoa Terminal, depending on availability of the loading arm and product; barge delivery can be done simultaneously with cargo operations depending on the flash point of the product handled. Grades offered include MGO and MF-30 to MF-380 fuel oil; Petrobras also supplies VLSFO (Bunker Petrobras), B24 with 24% renewable content, and since March an Ultra Low Sulphur MGO (max 0.1% sulphur) produced at the Cubatão refinery — note Santos is not in an ECA, so ULSMGO is mainly for vessels bound for ECAs. Bunker requests must be forwarded to Petrobras UN-Bunker through the ship's agent; buyers must nominate the order in writing at least three days before the delivery date and give 72/48/24/12-hour arrival notices. The ISGOTT Ship/Shore Safety Checklist applies. Anchoring is prohibited in the Piaçaguera channel area, ships may not cross in the channel, and night-maneuver size limits apply (LOA 228 m, beam 45 m).
