Djibouti is an anchorage-and-barge bunker port at the southern mouth of the Red Sea. Suppliers active here — Red Sea Bunkering among them — deliver ship-to-ship and describe both offshore and onshore supply directly at the port, with round-the-clock delivery support. Seven Ocean Bunkering lists the grades as VLSFO, HSFO, LSMGO and MGO, delivered by bunker barge or by pipeline.
In practice that means most stems come off a barge, taken either offshore at anchor or alongside within the port rather than at a single dedicated bunker installation. Because the port sits on the busy Bab-el-Mandeb routing and lifts are worked to your agent's berth or anchorage allocation, fix the delivery point and confirm grade availability before arrival rather than assuming a slot on the day.
