Valdez is dominated by the Trans-Alaska Pipeline's marine outlet, the Alyeska Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT), where tankers load Alaska North Slope crude. The operator lists Berths 4 and 5 in service, both with vapour-recovery arms, with Berths 1 and 3 out of service, and says the largest tankers carry "up to 2 million barrels", roughly 20 tankers a month, about a day alongside to load. That makes Valdez a crude-export berth, not a bunker port: the terminal pages describe loading crude, not selling marine fuel to visiting ships.
The City of Valdez separately runs the John Thomas Kelsey municipal dock, but I could not confirm from a port-authority page whether its fuelling extends to oceangoing bunkers or is only small-craft fuel. Treat Valdez as a place to load cargo, not to stem, and pin down any bunker arrangement with a named supplier before fixing.
