Shuaiba is Kuwait's primary industrial port with 20 berths, working around the clock on a direct-delivery basis, and pilotage is mandatory for all commercial vessels with 24-hour pilotage available except during the daily shift change (approx. 0500–0830). Port Control should be notified on VHF channel 16 about 4 hours before arrival at the pilot station.
