Aegean (Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc.) is an independent physical supplier and marketer of refined marine fuel and lubricants to ships in port and at sea, founded in 1995 and headquartered at 10 Akti Kondili, Piraeus, Greece. It operates a fleet of bunkering vessels with service centers including Gibraltar, Algeciras, Las Palmas, Barcelona, Singapore, Panama, Jamaica and Tangier, and announced bunkering operations in Algeciras, Spain in July 2013. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late 2018, after which Mercuria Energy Group acquired substantial parts of its business.
