Maersk (bunkering)

Physicalowns barges or a terminal·1 port, licensed at 1

Maersk Oil Trading is the marine fuel buying/bunkering arm of Danish shipping group A.P. Moller-Maersk, described in trade press as a Danish marine fuel buyer (trader) rather than a physical barge operator. It operates at the Bay of Algeciras — Spain's top bunkering port, whose port authority lists Maersk among its bunker suppliers — through its Spanish subsidiary Maersk Oil Trading Spain SL, an active limited company incorporated on 08/07/2016 and registered at Torres de Hercules business park in Algeciras. A notable verifiable fact: in March 2023 it delivered its first biofuel bunker stem in Spain, bunkering the 5,400 TEU containership Maersk Ganges in Algeciras.
