Saras Trading SA is the wholly owned Geneva-based trading subsidiary of Italian refiner Saras SpA that markets and physically supplies marine fuels (bunkering) produced at the group's Sarlux refinery in Sarroch, Sardinia. Bunkering operations began on 1 September 2019 at dedicated areas of the ports of Sarroch and Cagliari, offering HSFO, VLSFO (max 0.5% S per IMO 2020) and LS MGO, with deliveries by dedicated bunker tankers M/T Atlantic (2019) and M/T CPTN KOSTAS (2020). Within roughly its first 18 months the bunkering desk supplied about 500,000 tonnes of fuel to more than 1,300 ships on a 24/7 basis.
