REG Geismar, LLC is a renewable fuels producer — a Delaware LLC and subsidiary of Renewable Energy Group (REG) — rather than a traditional bunker trader or broker. It operates a renewable diesel plant at 36187 Hwy 30, Geismar, Louisiana, on the Mississippi River near New Orleans, with nameplate capacity of about 75 million gallons per year of renewable diesel, renewable naphtha and renewable autogas, shippable by truck, rail and vessel. In August 2021 it signed a 15-year storage and logistics agreement with terminal operator IMTT-Geismar covering bulk liquid storage, marine dock usage and dedicated pipelines, supporting an expansion of the plant to 340 million gallons per year.
