GEFO Shipping Group (Gesellschaft für Oeltransporte mbH) is a Hamburg-based shipping group and bunker trader — its bunker trading operation, launched in 1971, is one of the world's oldest and traded 196,000 tons across 1,655 bunkering operations in 2025. Founded in 1961 as an inland oil barging company, the group today operates 148 coastal and inland tankers on routes from the northern Baltic to the western Mediterranean and across the North-west European waterway network.
