Vaggen AS is an Estonian maritime services company founded in 1993 for the removal of oily residues (slops) from ships, cooperating with the state enterprise Port of Tallinn since 1994 and serving all major tanker players in Estonia. It performs de-slopping from tankers at convenient outer anchorage positions (for vessels in transit to Russian and Finnish ports) using two slop barges — NAFTA (1,500 cbm capacity, up to 350 cbm/hour) and LOTOS (300 cbm) — plus a tank truck, a preliminary recycling station (PUMER1, 660 cbm) and a port tug (MONTU). The company is fully approved and certified by Estonian authorities to handle oil residues ashore or at sea (Hazardous Waste Handling License No. 0483, Integrated Environmental Permit No. L.KKL.HA-193947) and holds ISO 14001 certification issued by TÜV NORD CERT GmbH in 2010.
