Sunoco LP is a leading US energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership that entered Caribbean bunkering through a strategic partnership with Jamaica's West Indies Petroleum (WIP), effective January 1, 2025, to distribute marine fuel with Kingston as the base. Under the arrangement it acts as a physical bunker supply partner, with Sunoco's scale and credit capacity complementing WIP's local infrastructure, including over 750,000 barrels of storage at Port Esquivel. Sunoco distributes more than 8.5 billion gallons of fuel annually across 40+ US states and the Caribbean and also maintains a bunker business in Houston acquired through its NuStar Energy takeover.
