Pertamina states it normally purchased up to about 1,000 kilolitres of industrial fuel per month for distribution across Bali. In December 2025, Bali police raided its Suwung warehouse for allegedly hoarding subsidized diesel and reselling it as industrial fuel, with state losses estimated at Rp 4.8 billion, prompting Pertamina to threaten terminating its business relationship.
