Marshalls Energy Company, Inc. (MEC) is a semi-autonomous utility company of the Republic of the Marshall Islands that generates and distributes electricity and also buys and sells petroleum products, making it a physical fuel supplier rather than a trader or broker. It received its corporate charter from the RMI Cabinet on February 2, 1984, and primarily sells petroleum products to foreign and domestic fishing vessels, supplying them from its Majuro Tank Farm (a fuel storage facility leased from the RMI since December 1996). Its corporate office is in Majuro, Marshall Islands, with power operations also serving Jaluit and Wotje atolls.
