Hartree Marine is the marine fuels division of energy and commodities merchant Hartree Partners, operating as a global marine fuel merchant and physical bunker supplier backed by ownership stakes from Hartree's operating partners and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. In June 2025 it launched physical supply operations at Norfolk, Virginia, delivering VLSFO and MGO from shore tanks via two dedicated bunker barges, plus trucked ULSD deliveries to accessible docks in Newport News, Yorktown, Hampton Roads, Chesapeake and Portsmouth, with spot and term contracts and index-linked or fixed forward pricing. This followed a physical supply operation in the US Gulf Coast announced by Hartree Partners the previous month, and the company also invests in refining, transportation and storage assets.
