Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. is an independent physical supplier and marketer of refined marine fuel and lubricants to ships in port and at sea; it was formed on June 6, 2005 under the laws of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and completed a NYSE IPO in December 2006. It runs a global network of service centers (including Gibraltar, Las Palmas/Barcelona/Algeciras, Singapore, Panama, Jamaica, Trinidad, the UAE, Tangier and Northwest Europe) and in 2011 commenced bunkering operations at Mindelo on Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, in strategic cooperation with local energy company Enacol, using its bunkering tanker Dilos.
