Rhône Energies is a consortium of Entara and Trafigura that completed the acquisition of the Fos-sur-Mer refinery and the Toulouse and Villette-de-Vienne terminals from Esso in November 2024. It operates the refinery at Fos-sur-Mer on the Port of Marseille-Fos, which has a crude processing capacity of 140,000 barrels per day and produces petroleum products including diesel and fuel oil for the French domestic market. It is a refinery/energy-infrastructure operator rather than a dedicated bunker trader, though its port-side refinery produces fuel oil among its outputs.
