Gala Logistica, a company of Italy's Gruppo Ludoil, is a physical fuel storage and logistics operator (not a trader or broker) running a coastal petroleum-products terminal in Muggia, Trieste, plus an inland depot at Visco, connected by a ~57 km pipeline. The Trieste terminal, on the former Aquila refinery site, has 95,000 m³ of storage (5,000 m³ petrol, 90,000 m³ gasoil), receives cargo via tanker ships at its jetty, and supplies petrol and diesel across northeast Italy, Slovenia, Carinthia and Croatia. The hub is designated a strategic asset under Italian law no. 239/2004 and is listed in the Assocostieri depot census and the OCSIT (Organismo Centrale di Stoccaggio Italiano) register.
